Purpose of the program:
To give UNC Charlotte students the opportunity to visit an organization as a group and learn about the field,
the company, and career opportunities together.
6 Frequently Asked Questions
1. How often do we host?
As often as you would like and are able to. Some companies host once a year and some host
multiple times.
2. How many students should we expect?
It is up to you how many students you can accommodate. Past companies have set a maximum of 15 students whereas others have said 35. Factors that affect the number often revolve around space and parking
3. How long are the visits?
The length varies depending on your agenda, but they typically last 2-2.5 hours.
4. Is there a good time of day?
Based on class schedules, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 10-12, 1-3, and 2-4 are good days
and times to host. Lunch is a consideration, but not a requirement.
5. Is it open to all majors and class years?
Yes. However, marketing for the site visit includes which career fields are represented in the
company. This usually affects which students register.
6. What is a sample agenda?
Students are given a tour of the company/facility
Students learn about the various career fields and career opportunities
Whether through a panel, case study, or other interactive component, we always like to
include a way for students to engage in learning
